My piece has been made in light of the recent 25th anniversary of the fall of the berlin wall. Which I feel is one of the greatest examples of walls having history, it’s important to remember the history behind today’s modern world.

At the conceptual base of the work is absence something I regularly explore within my practice, the allure of the unseen. I have combined writing and stencilling to create the words and erased them with black paint, the wall has now become the redacted document. The statement left visible has been taken from an old archive document about the berlin wall, spoken in the Berlin Rathaus.
